Odour prevention
We are dealing with odour pollution when the released odour is being experienced as being unpleasant. Odours such as H2S and mercaptans are released at, for example, sewage pumping stations, sewage receiving wet wells, soakage pits, wastewater and sewage plants that can quite quickly be experienced as being very unpleasant. These gases can already be perceptible at very low concentrations. These odours can be very effectively captured through an odour filter unit filled with chemical filter pellets.
The filter is in contact with the wet well of the pumping station and will lead the contaminated air through the odour filter as a result of level increases in the station. The supplied gases will subsequently react with the chemical filter. The gases will then be neutralized by chemical reaction into a harmless gas, which will ensure that the environment is protected against unpleasant odours. The unit and medium types will be determined based on the air quantity, the type of gas and the concentration. The odour filters are usually installed without blower (self breathable).
