Allsorb Air Filter: Alphasorb ESP Chemical Filter Medium
The Alphasorb ESP chemical filter medium is suitable for capturing hazardous atmospheric gases such as H2S, SO2, SO3, formaldehyde, and methyl/ethyl thiols efficiently, and to neutralize them. The chemical filter medium has a porous structure impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4). This gives the granules a unique purple color. Potassium permanganate is a very strong oxidizing agent. Hazardous gases pass through the microporous surface into the granules, where an irreversible oxidation process happens. The hazardous gases are converted into a neutral residual gas.
