Alphasorb2 Chemical Filter Medium
The Alphasorb2 chemical filter medium aims to effectively capture and neutralize harmful gases such as H2S, SO2, SO3, ethylene, formaldehyde, and methyl/ethyl mercaptans from the air. This chemical filter medium has a porous structure impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4), giving the granule its distinctive purple color. Potassium permanganate is a very powerful oxidizer. The harmful gases penetrate the microporous surface into the granule, where an irreversible oxidation process takes place. The harmful gases are converted into a neutral residue gas.
High-Quality Filter Granule
The producer of the filter granule (Freudenberg GmBH) delivers a very high-quality, optimally impregnated filter granule that, through a special production process, has sufficient porosity to allow the gases to penetrate even to the core. The medium captures a wide range of harmful gases with a very high efficiency of >99.9%.
