The Alphasorb8 blend chemical filter medium is a broad-spectrum medium and captures a whole range of hazardous gases such as volatile organic compounds and acid gases. The blend medium is a mix of the chemical filter Alphasorb8 and virgin activated carbon with a CTC (carbon tetrachloride) activity value of 60. The activated carbon ensures that any gases not captured using the chemisorption process are captured using the adsorption and absorption processes. This combination gives an optimal result if a large range of hazardous gases needs to be captured and there is no possibility of using separate sections each with a medium.
