Allsorb Air Filter B.V. Chemical Filter Medium
The Alphasorb8 chemical filter medium is suitable for capturing hazardous gases such as H2S, SO2, SO3, formaldehyde, methyl/ethyl thiols and neutralising them. The chemical filter medium has a porous structure impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4). This gives the granules a unique purple colour. Potassium permanganate is a very strong oxidizing agent. hazardous gases pass through the microporous surface into the granules, where an irreversible oxidization process happens. The hazardous gases are converted into a neutral residual gas.
High-Quality Filter Granules
The manufacturer of the filter granules (Freudenberg GmbH) supplies very high-quality, optimally impregnated filter granules which, due to a special production process, are porous enough to allow gases to penetrate into the core. The medium captures a wide range of hazardous gases, with a very high efficiency of >99.9%.
