Inline Odor Filter Allsorb Plexitube

The Allsorb Inline Odor Filters provide an effective and low-maintenance solution for removing unpleasant odors from airflows. Each filter is filled with two high-quality filter media: activated carbon pellets and/or alumina pellets impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO₄). This type of filter is widely used on luxury vessels to keep the environment odor-free.

Dual action for optimal odor removal

• Activated carbon provides absorption (binding) of gases and odor molecules. Thanks to the enormous number of micropores, activated carbon has an extremely large internal surface area, resulting in a particularly high gas binding capacity.
• Alumina pellets, impregnated with potassium permanganate, have a very open and porous structure.

A two-phase process takes place on the surface:

• Contaminated molecules are absorbed on the microporous surface.
• Gases such as H₂S, SO₂, NOₓ, formaldehyde, and mercaptans penetrate the pellet, where they are neutralized through chemical oxidation.

Visual saturation indicator

The odor filter is easy to maintain thanks to the clear color change of the purple pellets. During the oxidation process, the color slowly changes from purple to white.
White pellets indicate that the filter media are fully saturated and need to be replaced.
